- Fire protection DFT is derived from the steel section factor and the required fire rating — it cannot follow normal anticorrosive thickness.
- Most fire protection coatings need a compatible primer and must be applied and cured within specified temperature and humidity.
- Surface preparation grade and primer system must match the product's system approval.
