- Select heat-resistant products by temperature band; sustained over-temperature accelerates failure.
- For CUI, assess the temperature under the insulation and the medium before choosing — avoid systems that cannot take the heat.
- Apply heat-resistant topcoats in thin multiple coats — thick single coats tend to blister or crack.
